The annual Bolton Food and Drink Festival is over for another year, and what a culinary celebration it was. Regarded as one of the very best food festivals in the country, Bolton welcomed around 400,000 food lovers to its town centre over the four-day festival.
We had a fantastic time sampling the huge range of cuisine, drinks and entertainment which can be found at the festival and feedback from our guests tells us they did too.
The record-breaking August Bank Holiday weather set the perfect stage for the event, with the streets packed with people enjoying the spectacular sunshine, food and drink which the festival offered.

There were over 200 stalls to sample from, each serving their own unique mix of fantastic food, locally brewed beer and artisan crafts.
There was also a great array of entertainment on offer, from musical performances and cooking demonstrations from celebrity and local chefs alike.
It’s fantastic to see the reputation of the Food and Drink Festival grow year-on-year and the line-up for 2019 was certainly difficult to rival, with top chefs and TV personalities; Michael Caines, The Hairy Bikers, Gregg Wallace and James Martin all attending the festival and showcasing their cooking skills.
