What is the Bolton Food and Drink Festival

The Bolton Food and Drink Festival is one of the country’s biggest and best food festivals. With an attendance of 400,000 food lovers over a period of four days, Bolton becomes host to a range of top celebrity food personalities and a gigantic range of cuisine from all around the globe.

Is there an entry fee for the Bolton Food and Drink Festival?

There is no entry fee for the Bolton Food Festival and visitors are welcome to browse all the stalls at their own leisure.

Tickets can be purchased to see performances from celebrity chefs and TV personalities in the festival marquee at Victoria Square. To avoid disappointment, visitors should book these tickets online in advance of the festival as past shows have sold out fast.

In recent years, celebrity appearances have been made by James Martin, The Hairy Bikers, Gregg Wallace and Ainsley Harriot.

When does the Bolton Food and Drink Festival start

The Bolton Food and Drink Festival is held on the last August Bank holiday of the year.

The next festival will be held on Friday 28th – Monday 31st August 2020.

The Bolton Food and Drink Festival has over 200 stalls spread across the town centre to sample from, each serving their own unique mix of fantastic food, locally brewed beer and artisan crafts.

Each year also brings an array of famous faces. Visitors are able to purchase tickets to watch cookery demos by famous faces such as James Martin, The Hairy Bikers and Ainsley Harriot in the festival’s marquee, located at Victoria Square outside the Town Hall.

There are also free cookery demonstrations which take place throughout the festival by professional chefs.

Travelling to the Bolton Food and Drink Festival

The Bolton Food and Drink Festival is located in Bolton Town Centre. It stretches from The Market Place and up to Newport Street, making it easy to get to by public transport.

You can get the train or bus to the town centre, the festival is just a short walk down Newport Street from the Interchange.

If you’re travelling by car then there are various pay and display car parks located in the town centre which you could use.
